🙋🏻♂️ WHO AM I?
Hello! My name is José, I am an accredited official tour guide and I also have a degree in Information Sciences from Complutense University, specializing in Advertising and Public Relations. I was born in Madrid and since I was very young my passion has always been traveling, planning the trip itself, reading atlases, learning flags and capitals of countries, and discovering the history and monuments of each place and all the details they contain.

I have lived in incredible places like Norway and the Basque Country, and that passion I felt since I was a child eventually led me to do what I love most: sharing the stories hidden within the places I know with fellow travelers. For years, I have worked in many destinations, including Norway, Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Ávila, and the Basque Country. In 2026, I founded my own small, humble tour company, with the intention of growing by doing what I love most, on my own terms and completely independent.
❤ WHY VOLGA TOURS?
Volga is not only one of the most important rivers in Russia, but it was also the name of my father’s family business—a distillery where we crafted many types of liquors. My father dedicated a great part of his life to building that small company from the ground up. I worked there too, and it was what allowed our family to get ahead.
For all these reasons, the name Volga Tours is a tribute to my father, Pepe "Volga", and to those wonderful years of my childhood. My father passed away years ago, but he lives on every single day in our memories. That is why I chose the name of that small business. Behind it lies that entrepreneurial, fighter spirit that I want to keep alive in my brand and in every single one of my tours.
🧭 MISSION AND VALUES.
My greatest pride is ensuring that all my clients take home a beautiful memory from each tour, having discovered the unique corners of every destination. It is not about delivering an art or history lecture; it is about having fun and learning new stories together, just like a family. For me, guiding a group of clients is no different than doing it for friends or relatives. My ultimate satisfaction is seeing people from so many different backgrounds say goodbye with a smile at the end of the tour, while I also continue to learn from each of them every single day.
At Volga Tours, we are deeply committed to responsible and sustainable tourism. The goal is to avoid those massive crowds so often seen in many cities, which block the streets and cause disruptions with loudspeakers or other devices. For this reason, Volga Tours always keeps group sizes limited, ensuring that tourists and residents can coexist harmoniously in unique spaces while steering clear of mass tourism. Furthermore, this approach allows the guide and every member of the group to connect on a much deeper level, making communication far more comfortable and effortless.
🎬 PEPEVIAJERO.
Pepeviajero is the name of my humble YouTube channel, where I share the history of many places I visit from my own perspective. The idea was born during a trip to the United States, where I fulfilled one of my dreams by driving down Route 66 and exploring many corners of those latitudes. It is the kind of trip you usually only take once in a lifetime, so I decided to record it to relive those moments and keep them from fading away.
For me, editing a video or watching it again means reliving a journey. Being able to share that feeling and show these destinations to people who are interested in them is as beautiful as it is rewarding. Here is a link to Pepeviajero, in case you want to take a look at some of the videos I have been sharing, where I talk about everything I discover in each destination. 👇
